WALK THE TALK...My Response!

1.
"Integrity comprises perceived consistency of actions, values, methods, measures and principles." Academic's is obviously schooling and furthering your education. Research on academic integrity means that teachers want their students to be responsible and to get their work done when time is given. It means that people should be honest about their academics and feel good about what they have done. You should feel good about yourself after finishing a big project and should continue to do it the honest way by not cheating or copying others work.

My personal opinion on this subject is one should never compromise their integrity over a grade. But it happens everyday in classroom's across the nation. Why though? I believe it is because there is a huge stress put on students by parents and teachers to get good grades. If you get good grades you are more likely to get into college. I know it is hard sometimes if you havn't studied for a test to just copy someone else. But just think to yourself, is it worth my integrity over this one test?

2.
My response to the question "What is more important, your grades or your honor?" is an easy one for me. It is my honor. But to most people that is a easy question to answer. The real question is if you will keep your opinion on this when times get hard. Will you cheat to get a good grade or will you keep your honor and bomb the test your taking. I have to admit I have cheated on a test before, I am not proud of it and I wish i never did. But i have to life with the fact I did and remember that time in the future when I am tempted to do it again. So I will know my answer this time, and it will be to keep my honor.

3.
I think everything that i said in the movie is correct on how to live a happy, honest, and repectable life. Those things are the elements that make us who we are. And depending on how well we do them, I believe that is what kind of person we will end up being. If you follow those guidlines given you will be a likable person. I know that the true test of integrity is what you do when no one is watching. That still holds true for me and the people around me.

4.
By definition conscience is the ability or faculty that distinguishes whether one's actions are right or wrong. I think it is a pretty easy word to describe. To me it means like the definition a person's ability to decide between right and wrong. Everything you do in life will have a good or bad result. You need to choose the option that comes out with a good result. If you do this enough times people will gain respect for you and learn about what you stand for.

5.
The "value of my education" in my opinion is endless. What you are doing now will pay off in the long run helping to get you a secure good paying job. The classes I am taking as a senior will help me to further my education before college so I will be ahead of most students. Also since college is know to be very expensive if I take college credit courses in high school then I can save money in college. What I am doing right now is very beneficial to my future. I am not sure if my future will benefit my past that much because the past has already happened so there is nothing you can do to benefit it besides be honest and work hard.
